We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join our project team in Mauritania and supervise electrical installation activities for a large-scale renewable energy project.

Position Overview

The Electrical Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical installation activities on site, ensuring that all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily electrical installation activities in line with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, and project schedules.
  • Oversee installation of MV/LV cables, cable trays and terminations, transformers, switchgear, distribution systems, earthing, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
  • Supervise electrical equipment installation and ensure proper handling, installation, and protection of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate electrical works with Civil, Mechanical, Structural, SCADA, QA/QC, HSE, and other site teams.
  • Supervise subcontractors and electrical crews, monitor daily progress, and report site issues, delays, and technical concerns.
  • Review electrical drawings and single-line diagrams and coordinate the resolution of site-related technical issues with the Engineering team.
  • Coordinate inspections with QA/QC and ensure defects, punch-list items, and inspection findings are properly closed.
  • Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, and handover activities.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, including PTW and LOTO procedures.
  • Maintain daily site records, progress reports, inspection documentation, and installation records.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and productivity among site teams and subcontractors.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a technical qualification in Electrical Engineering/Technology.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Site Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, or similar role in construction, power, industrial, or renewable energy projects.
  • Previous experience in utility-scale Solar PV projects is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with MV/LV systems, cables, cable termination, transformers, switchgear, earthing, and auxiliary systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Experience supervising electrical subcontractors, technicians, and site crews.
  • Good understanding of electrical installation, inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices, PTW and LOTO procedures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced international project environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in Mauritania, Africa, or other international projects is an advantage.
  • Experience in BESS, Wind, or grid connection systems is a plus.
