QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputable university
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in preparing tenders or as a design engineer in a PV field
  • Experience in photovoltaics/ solar energy field is a plus
  • Having vast knowledge and experience about tendering processes as well as PV design
  • Being familiar with international industry standards, in addition to technical codes and calculations having ability to read electrical schemes
  • Ability to understand customer needs and fulfill tender requirements, conducting transactions in line with budget and planning
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other calculation/simulation programs, as well as PVSyst
  • Experience in design programs 2D and 3D systems
  • Good command of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Being enthusiastic about working in a multi-national environment
  • Detail-oriented with good communication skills
  • Having strong planning and organisation skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Result-oriented and multi-tasking with good time management skills
  • No travel restriction

                              JOB DESCRIPTION

                              • Preparing and submitting completed bids to existing and prospective clients
                              • Fullfilling all client requirements
                              • Being responsible for preliminary design assumptions necessary to establish a Bill of Quantities
                              • Preparing bid documents with appropriate quality
                              • Develop detailed design drawings, technical specification and all documentation according to the customer´s requirements, budget, and planning
                              • Conduct tendering activities in communication with customers, suppliers and other third parties
                              • Prepare request for quotation to be sent to suppliers
                              • Evaluate suppliers’ technical offers
                              • Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for the company
                              • Review of the tender information received from the client
                              • Clarification of bid conditions and tender preparation
                              • Participate in and support bid/no bid decision together with Business Development team
                              • Prepare preliminary technical information and design and propose initial design assumptions necessary to define a bill of quantities for the purpose of calculating the costs of the projects
                              • Responsible for cost and price calculations
                              • Coordinating with procurement, design, operations, contract, legal and other departments to share/collect and review information relevant to each department, as necessary to prepare the bid
                              • Support the Business Development team in discussions, clarifications and negotiations with the client, if necessary
                              • Participate in the internal tender approval process for the bids when it is required
                              • Copywriting, if necessary
                              • Collect information relating to the bids and organize it in a way to support continuous improvement of the bidding process
                              • Actively propose actions and take part in continuous improvement process
