We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Specialist in High Voltage Equipment in Electrical Substations of 220KV or higher levels. The ideal candidate will be a key part of our engineering team, assuming comprehensive responsibility for the life cycle of main high-voltage equipment. This responsibility covers from initial conception and conceptual design to detailed engineering, preparation of technical specifications for equipment purchase, supervision of assembly, and on-site commissioning.

Main Responsibilities:
Design and Engineering:
- Develop and review basic and detailed engineering designs for high-voltage substations, with a specific focus on primary equipment (circuit breakers, disconnectors, power transformers, measurement transformers, surge arresters, reactors, GIS, etc.).
- Perform and/or supervise relevant electrical calculations, such as equipment sizing, short-circuit studies, insulation coordination, grounding studies, and power cable selection.
- Prepare and/or review detailed technical specifications for the purchase of primary equipment, ensuring compliance with national and international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and specific project requirements.
- Perform technical and economic tabulation of bids from primary equipment suppliers.
- Supervise and coordinate the manufacturing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), transport, and installation phases of primary equipment.
- Manage the technical interface with suppliers, contractors, and other departments involved in the project.
- Supervise the on-site assembly and installation of primary equipment, ensuring correct execution according to plans and specifications.
- Lead or actively participate in on-site acceptance tests (SAT) and in the commissioning of primary equipment and associated systems.
- Resolve technical problems that arise during installation and commissioning.
- Collaborate in the development of preventive and corrective operation and maintenance plans and procedures for primary equipment.
- Ensure that all designs, equipment, and procedures comply with applicable electrical safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: University Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of demonstrable experience in the design, specification, installation, and/or maintenance of primary equipment in high-voltage electrical substations (preferably 220kV or higher, both AIS and GIS).
- Experience in interpreting electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Experience in supervising construction and commissioning of substations will be valued.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of the operating principles, design, construction, and testing of primary substation equipment.
- Familiarity with international technical standards (IEC, IEEE).
- Knowledge of electrical design and simulation software (e.g., ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and precise technical reports.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Languages: B2-C1 English. The usual working language will be English.
- Availability to travel abroad based on project demands.
