Headquartered in the United Kingdom, INTEC also operates offices in Germany, Türkiye, Australia, New Zealand, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Mauritius, with plans for further expansion.

As an international company, we are looking for a Project Director based in Nouakchott, Mauritania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all project phases from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and local regulations.
  • Manage project budget, cost control, and progress reporting.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance.
  • Act as the main point of contact with the client and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with Intec’s standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Report project performance to senior management and provide proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 10+ years of experience in EPC project management, preferably in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
  • Proven track record in leading large, multi-disciplinary EPC projects in Africa or similar environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is an advantage.
  • Willingness to be based in Nouakchott for the project duration.
