We are currently looking for an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join our project team in Mauritania and supervise civil construction activities on a large-scale  renewable energy project.

Position Overview

The Civil Site Supervisor will oversee day-to-day civil works on site, ensuring that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
• Oversee earthworks, excavation, grading, backfilling, compaction, concrete works, foundations, roads, drainage, fencing, and cable trenches.
• Supervise civil works related to Solar PV, BESS, Wind, and associated site infrastructure.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate civil activities with Electrical, Mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, and other site teams.
• Review drawings and resolve technical and construction issues with the engineering team.
• Monitor daily progress and report delays, site constraints, and construction issues.
• Coordinate inspections with the QA/QC team and ensure defects and punch-list items are closed.
• Coordinate surveying and setting-out activities where required.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE procedures and safe working practices.
• Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and relevant construction documentation.

Job Requirements

• Degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Site Supervisor or similar role in construction, infrastructure, power, or renewable energy projects.
• Previous utility-scale Solar PV experience is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience in earthworks, concrete works, foundations, roads, drainage, and general site infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, layouts, specifications, and method statements.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and site crews.
• Good knowledge of construction quality and HSE requirements.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English is required; French is an advantage.
• Previous experience in Mauritania, Africa, or international projects is an advantage.
• Experience in Wind or BESS projects is a plus.
