As part of our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Site Manager to join our team in Mauritania and support the successful delivery of large-scale Solar PV projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all daily on-site construction activities to ensure the safe, timely, and high-quality execution of the utility-scale PV project.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to achieve construction milestones.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with HSEQ standards, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor construction progress, identify project risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedules.
- Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, quality inspections, and construction records.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily coordination meetings.
- Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and HSE teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Maintain effective communication with the client, local authorities, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing utility-scale PV construction projects in an EPC environment.
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, and electrical construction activities.
- Proven experience leading site teams, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary construction activities.
- Solid knowledge of HSEQ standards and construction best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting/document management tools.
- Fluent English is required; French is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Mauritania for the project duration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience on utility-scale PV projects exceeding 50 MW.
- Experience with HV substations and grid connection works.
- Previous international or remote-site EPC project experience.
- Relevant HSE and construction management certifications.
