As an international company, we are looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist based in Nouakchott-Nord Region, Mauritania.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in Solar / Energy / EPC projects
- Proven experience in international procurement and logistics operations
- Knowledge of customs clearance, import/export, and transportation operations
- Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools
- Fluent in English (French is an asset)
- Willingness to work in a site-based and international environment
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Job Description:
Procurement
- Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements
- Support the preparation of technical specifications and RFQ/RFP documents in coordination with the technical team
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor offers from both technical and commercial perspectives
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor contractual and delivery terms
- Conduct negotiations with local and international suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms
Logistics & Customs
- Manage international transportation of PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and related equipment
- Coordinate sea, road, and multimodal transportation activities
- Ensure compliance with customs clearance, import permits, and local regulations in Mauritania
- Coordinate with logistics companies, customs brokers, and local agents
- Track material delivery schedules in alignment with the project program
Warehouse & Site Coordination
- Manage site warehouse operations, including inventory control and material in/out tracking
- Report and resolve material damages, shortages, or non-conformities
- Coordinate with site teams to plan and forecast material requirements
Reporting & Control
- Prepare regular reports related to procurement and logistics activities
- Monitor budgets, delivery performance, and supply chain risks
- Take preventive actions against delays and cost overruns arising from supply chain activities
