As an international company, we are looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist based in Nouakchott-Nord Region, Mauritania.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in Solar / Energy / EPC projects
  • Proven experience in international procurement and logistics operations
  • Knowledge of customs clearance, import/export, and transportation operations
  • Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools
  • Fluent in English (French is an asset)
  • Willingness to work in a site-based and international environment
  • Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Job Description:

Procurement

  • Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements
  • Support the preparation of technical specifications and RFQ/RFP documents in coordination with the technical team
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor offers from both technical and commercial perspectives
  • Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor contractual and delivery terms
  • Conduct negotiations with local and international suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms

Logistics & Customs

  • Manage international transportation of PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and related equipment
  • Coordinate sea, road, and multimodal transportation activities
  • Ensure compliance with customs clearance, import permits, and local regulations in Mauritania
  • Coordinate with logistics companies, customs brokers, and local agents
  • Track material delivery schedules in alignment with the project program

Warehouse & Site Coordination

  • Manage site warehouse operations, including inventory control and material in/out tracking
  • Report and resolve material damages, shortages, or non-conformities
  • Coordinate with site teams to plan and forecast material requirements

Reporting & Control

  • Prepare regular reports related to procurement and logistics activities
  • Monitor budgets, delivery performance, and supply chain risks
  • Take preventive actions against delays and cost overruns arising from supply chain activities
