Our Sustainability Committee follows important issues and details that directly affect global developments regarding sustainability and/or general changes in ESG issues and informs and makes recommendations to the Executive Board on the subject. The Committee also makes recommendations to the Executive Board on what it can do to support the Company’s continued progress on ESG issues. It also tracks actions or initiatives taken to prevent, mitigate and manage risks related to ESG issues.

Working groups within the Sustainability Committee, consisting of managers and employees from different departments of the company, including Human Resources, Finance, Environment, Social, Governance, Health and Safety and Investment (Solar PP, BESS) departments: Environment, Ethics and Compliance, Human Resources, Social, HSE, Corporate Communication, Supply Chain, Crisis Management are sub-working groups and these groups directly inform this committee. The company also receives environmental and social management consultancy services from expert consultancy firms and organizations in its processes in accordance with the expectations of international standards. Working groups report directly to the committee and are responsible for carrying out all tasks assigned by the Committee. It is responsible for setting goals in line with the decisions taken in the committee, implementing the work within the scope of the sustainability road map, monitoring it and updating it when necessary. The Group Responsible determined by the Committee is responsible for the coordination of the relevant Working Group, keeping meeting minutes and reporting the work outcomes to the Committee.

Our Sustainability Committee plays the key role in linking sustainability management with site work and the senior management structure. The Sustainability Committee carries out studies to integrate sustainability into INTEC‘s way of doing business and develops projects in this direction. It identifies the priority issues that need to be focused on sustainability and creates the sustainability strategy, short, medium and long-term goals, road maps and policies, and management plans which are in compliance with UN Global Compact’s 10 Principles, Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), IFC Performance Standards, and EBRD Performance Requirements . They are made public by the decision of the executive board. It follows national and international developments in sustainability. It proactively manages risks in environmental, social and corporate governance areas and directs INTEC‘s sustainability strategy. It follows the sustainability road map created by INTEC to achieve its sustainability targets and the developments in its practices, determines performance criteria within the scope of the targets and monitors its performance.

The establishment of the Sustainability Committee marks the beginning of a new chapter for INTEC. By addressing sustainability through these focused sub-working groups, INTEC aims to create a more resilient and sustainable future. The committee will regularly review and report on progress, ensuring transparency and accountability in all its initiatives.
