INTEC Energy Solutions Provides full EPC Service for Large-Scale BESS Project in Australia to Lightsource bp
INTEC Energy Solutions (INTEC), a leading global provider of innovative energy solutions, is proud to announce providing full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for a 640MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project in Queensland, Australia to Lightsource bp, a global leader in the development and management of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This marks one of the region’s largest energy storage projects, further advancing renewable energy integration in the country.
As part of this project, INTEC is collaborating with Hithium- a leading global provider of integrated energy storage products and solutions, to execute the Woolooga BESS Project. INTEC is undertaking full EPC services and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the plant for a period of 25 years in collaboration with Hithium, ensuring long-term efficiency and reliability.
The Woolooga BESS project, with a total capacity of 640MWh, will feature 128 state-of-the-art BESS containers, providing reliable energy storage that enhances grid stability and efficiency.
Strengthening Presence in Australia
Leveraging its proven track record in delivering high-quality solar projects across Europe, INTEC is expanding its presence in Australia to meet the country’s growing energy demands. This commitment is reflected in the establishment of a new office and the addition of a local workforce to support ongoing projects.
