INTEC Joins the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles

We are proud and happy to announce that INTEC has taken a significant step in our commitment to gender equality by becoming a signatory to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (UN WEP’s) on 25.09.2024. We had previously announced that we were a UNGC signatory on 15.01.2024. These milestones reflect our company’s dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable environment and are very important to all of us.

The UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, created by UN Women and the UN Global Compact, provide a set of guidelines to help businesses promote gender equality and empower women in the workplace, marketplace, and society. These principles are:

  1. Leadership Promotes Gender Equality: Establish senior corporate leadership for gender equality.
  2. Equal Opportunity, Inclusion, and Non-Discrimination: Treat all women and men fairly in the workplace- respect and promote human rights and non-discrimination
  3. Health, Safety, and Freedom from Violence: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all women and men employees.
  4. Education and Training: Promote education, training, and professional development for women.
  5. Business Development, Supply Chain, and Marketing Practices: Implement business development, supply chain, and marketing practices that empower women
  6. Community Initiatives and Advocacy: Promote equality through community initiatives and advocacy.
  7. Measurement and Reporting: Measure and publicly communicate progress towards achieving gender equality.
